Chair and Desk has provided both backend and frontend development work for DGR since 2019. This event happens globally once per year in almost 900 cities. In their lifetime they have raised USD$45M in donations.
Design and Reliability
Each year DGR launches with a new theme, meaning a complete redesign and overhaul of the site. With this comes its own design challenges as there is over 10 languages to account for and many different screen resolutions. The website also has to be reliable and performant as thousands of users log onto the site per day
Love for the backend
The backend of this site is a beast in its own right and requires heavy dev work to be made every year. New features are still being added after 13 years of operation. This year there were many features added by Chair and Desk for automation, improving global logistics and centralising the mapping system. We have now been engaged to build an iOS and Android app.
